Looking for something to do on St. Patrick’s Day?

Check out the 47th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, sponsored by the Friends of St. Patrick, at noon on March 17 along Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki. The route begins on Kalakaua fronting Fort DeRussy and ends at Kapiolani Park by the bandstand around 1:30 p.m. For more parade information visit Friends of St. Patrick website.

Murphy’s Bar and Grill, located at the corner of Merchant and Nuuanu, Downtown, will be celebrating it’s 27th St. Patrick’s Day Block Party! The restaurant will be open for lunch at 11:00 am to 3:00 pm serving a variety of drinks and foods including Guinness braise lamb shanks and corned beef & cabbage. And for every pound of corn beef sold, $2.00 is donated to the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.

The block party starts when the sun goes down, and streets will be closed to traffic on Nuuanu Avenue, Merchant Street and Marin Lane. Entertainment includes Doolin’ Rakes and Elephant.
