Looking for something to do with the family? Make sure you check out the Aloun Farms Pumpkin Festival at Kapolei. Here you can choose from an array of pumpkins and gourds to get your home ready for Halloween and also enjoy the rides, games and entertainment they have to offer.
While pumpkins are by far the most popular item, you can also pick your own corn from their corn fields. Cost is $15 a bucket. Or you can pick your own basket of beans for $5. For those who don’t want to venture out in the fields, package corn and other fruits and vegetables are available for purchase. Roasted corn, shave ice, precut fruits and more are also available for your eating enjoyment.
In addition to the pumpkins and corn, activities include tractor-pulled hay rides, jump houses, pony rides, and games.
Admission is $3 per person and kids 2 and under are free. Donate two garbage-size bags of clothing, bed and bath items or accessories and receive free admission. The festival will be open Saturday and Sunday, October 25 and 26 from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
