The season of harvest is among us and that means a flood of orange colors and pumpkins of all colors, shapes and sizes will be adorning our communities. In addition to décor, pumpkins are also enjoyed as a popular snack with pumpkin-flavored everything seeming to invade our grocery stores and local coffee shop menus.

Pumpkins are a true staple of the season and in Oahu, there’s no shortage of the popular squash.

Here are places throughout the island where you can pick your special pumpkin (or a few!) for your harvest festivities.

Waimanalo Country Farms | Waimanalo
Walk through the beautiful sunflower patch as you select your perfect pumpkins and sip on freshly squeezed lemonade. There’s also a variety of fall activities including a pumpkin shoot, face painting, cow train and more. Surrounded by mountains and the ocean, the family-owned farm is a great place to have some fun and take in nature’s beauty.

Aloun Farms | Kapolei
Aloun Farms is home to the Great Kapolei Pumpkin Picking Patch where you’ll find hayrides, pony rides, farm style food, picture booths, games and more. In addition to pumpkins, you can also take home corn, beans and sunflowers.

The Great Pumpkin Festival | Honolulu
This is the largest pumpkin patch in Honolulu with over 2,500 locally grown pumpkins. There’s also live entertainment and contests, fair games and rides, a holiday market with food from local vendors and of course an abundance of pumpkins waiting to be picked.
