Aloha, December! The festive month—that always seems to fly by no matter how much we want to relish the sights, sounds and tastes of the season—is here. In addition to being packed with holidays, the days of December are the last chances we have to create special memories of the year.

Here are six events across the island to seal the deal on making this December one to remember for years to come.
National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day | December 7, 7:45 am to 7:30 pm | 1 Arizona Memorial Place, Honolulu
This year marks the 75th anniversary on the attack of Pearl Harbor. In remembrance of this historic event, the National Park Service and U.S. Navy will host an all-day commemoration that includes various ceremonies, a reception, wreath presentation, band performance, memorial parade and much more.
Breakfast with Santa | December 10, 8 am to 10 am | Kualoa Ranch House, 49-560 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, games, crafts, entertainment, prize drawings, as well as photo ops with Santa and Kualoa’s animal friends. Also, for just $3 more, you can get on the Holiday Trolley for a mini-tour of the Ranch. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship program for keiki enrolled in the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs across the state.
Waianae Christmas Hoolaulea | December 10, 10 am to 3 pm | Waianae Mall, 86-210 Farrington Highway, Waianae
This year’s parade is themed “Serving Wai’anae with Humility” and will include spectacular performances, food vendors and mall merchants all under one roof.
2016 Honolulu Marathon | December 11, 3 pm | Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu
Run through the world-famous Waikiki Beach and the Diamond Head and Koko Head volcanic craters alongside thousands of spirited runners in this year’s Honolulu Marathon. The marathon is open to everybody, having no qualifying standards to participate and no time limit to finish the course.
Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Holiday Feast | December 24 & 25 | 120 Kaiulani Avenue, Honolulu
A delicious feast prepared by Chef Chris Kirksey will be served up on the beautiful Sheraton Princess where guests can delight in a sophisticated fare while overlooking gorgeous ocean views.
New Year’s Party of the Year | December 31, 7 pm | Aloha Tower Marketplace, 1 Aloha Tower Drive, Honolulu
