With the 2016 Summer Games underway, there’s lots of talk regarding everything having to do with this epic event. Some popular topics include: which athletes are participating, which countries have a shot of winning, and how the beautiful host city of Rio is handling all of the sudden attention.
While the entire world turns its attention to Rio, we decided to get in on the fun ourselves by celebrating it the way we do best – by incorporating fun and spirited homes into the mix.
In honor of the gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to athletes, we’re taking a look at medal-worthy homes right here on Oahu.
The three medals symbolize much more than an individual prize; they represent each winning country’s potential and strength in competition. And this year’s Rio design is all about displaying triumph. On one side, there is Nike, goddess of victory, and the other features laurel leaves, a symbol of success in ancient Greece.
Homes on Oahu are all winners in our eyes, but we decided to take a look at estates that are in the price points of around $1 million, $5 million and $10 million to represent “gold,” “silver” and “bronze.”
Here are the homes we’re awarding our Summer Games medals to:
Kaneohe Ocean View House | $1,599,000
Enjoy Hawaiiana style island living with this stunning Kaneohe sanctuary that was built in 2013. You’ll get to relax in the large lanais as you look out to Kaneohe Bay, while the home’s open kitchen and living room provide spectacular views onto the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and luscious green panorama that surrounds Oahu.
If you’re in the mood for boating the bay, then don’t fret – being only ten minutes away from Kailua Beach will make this an easy experience. Just load up your boat, transport it across the street and you’re good to go!
