The unofficial end of summer, better known as Labor Day weekend, is almost here.
Ending the season with a bang doesn’t mean you have to travel far either. Here in tropical Oahu, there are plenty of adventures to partake in to seal the deal on summer.
Nu’uanu Pali State Wayside – A long-time favorite spot of locals and visitors, this lookout offers sweeping views of the windward side of the island from a spacious cliff. You’ll view the Koolau Mountain Range at a 1200-foot elevation. Winds are usually strong so be sure to cover up.
Pearl Harbor Historic Sites – Visiting Pearl Harbor, also known as Pu’uloa, is an adventure that never gets old. The active military base is home to four historic sites including the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and the surrender of the Japanese.
Eco-Adventure Tour – You’ll be surprised at what you can discover in Discover Hawaii Tours’ Oahu Eco-Adventure. See the island’s hidden beaches, waterfalls, ancient features and Waimea Valley. Who knows, you may discover something new about your beloved home.
Wet’n’Wild Hawaii – The state’s only waterpark, Wet’n’Wild Hawaii is located in the small city of Kapolei and includes 29 beautifully landscaped acres with natural cliffs. Here, you’ll find attractions that are suited for adults, teens and kids.
Manoa Falls – Just a 20-minute drive from Honolulu is Manoa Falls. This 100-foot tall waterfall is surrounded by a lush rainforest and is reachable by a short and equally breathtaking hike.
