Surprise, surprise! According to the latest Luxury Market Report by Coldwell Banker Previews International®, Hawaii’s luxury real estate market is strong across the board in terms of sales and prices, but more impressively on the Luxury Market Index. The first of its kind in the real estate industry, the Luxury Market Index offers a comparison of the real estate performance of luxury markets across the United States.

As mentioned in the foreword:

“The index compares the real estate performance of luxury markets across the United States, using measurements such as annualized sales in units, volume, average and median sale price and others. By calculating and weighting these variables into index results, we can give consumers a better, more objective understanding of the luxury real estate marketplace.”

The foreword also mentions that seventy percent of markets in the index were also located near a body of water, supporting the belief that water views are often in high-demand, which bodes well for Hawaii.
